Only few days were left for Ramsha and Jalal's wedding. Everyone was busy with shopping, decoration and catering.
And today was Ramsha's mayun, she was dressed up in a hot pink anarkali that reached upto the floor with bright orange dupatta on her head, light jewellery on her made her look the star of the evening.
She was sitting in the middle of the backyard, which was decorated with genda phool and lights. Women were playing dholki and singing, while elders applied haldi on Rashma's face. She glowed in the light, looking happy and content.
While Hannen was running all around the party directing things to go right. While she prepared for the big day coming. She was dressed in a yellow shrara, heavy earrings were secured with delicate thin chains disappearing into her hair. She was looking beautiful.
"Bhai khana kb tk khulega.??" She asked just then her phone pinged with the notification. She looked to find a text from Jalal. He asked her to come out of the house.
"Abhi kuch der mai khul wa deta hu bibi" the man said.
"Thik hai" she answered as she made her way towards the door.
Just as she got out of the iron gate. She saw Jalal sitting in the car.
"Aap yaha kya kr rhe hai??" She asked
"Ramsha ko dekhne aaya hu" he said proudly.
"Lgta hai apko mayun ka concept nhi pta hai Jalal bhai. Ramsha apse nhi mil skti nikkah ke din tk" she explained.
"Tbhi toh mai tumhare pass aaya hu. Saali sahiba kuch kro or mujhe mere pyaar se mila do. Mai kuch bhi krunga" he said desperately.
"Kuch bhi?" She asked, her eyes playful as an idea struck her.
"Ha ha bilkul" Jalal agreed without even thinking.
"Toh fir nikale 10 hazar" Hannen said
"10 hazar kis baat ke??" Jalal asked in shock.
"Meri bhen se milne ke. Or jo mai apni jaan khatre mai dal kr romeo ko uski Juliette se milwaungi. Toh uska charge toh banta hai" she said
"Bhot tez nikli tum" Jalal said as he fished out his wallet. "Abhi toh mere pass utne nhi hai" he said
"Koi baat nhi jija ji..mai online payment bhi leti hu"
"Acha mai tumhari payment kr dunga. Ab mera milne ka intezaam kro"
"Phele payment fir mulaqate" Hannen said as she folded her hands against her chest.
Jalal let out a groan as he took out his phone from his kurta's pocket and sent Hannen her 10 thousand rupees.
"Pleasure doing business with you" Hannen said, "Follow me" she added.
She lead him behind the house away from the backyard, below the Ramsha's room.
"Iss pipe se upar chadh jaye" she said.
"Pagal wagal hogyi ho." He said as he looked at the height.
"Dekhe yhi rasta, baki mujhe nhi pta" Hannen shrugged, internally enjoying every second.
Jalal looked at her once more before he placed one leg on the brick placed at the bottom. "Agar mai shaheed hua toh apni behan ko zarror btana ki mai usse bhot mohabbat krta tha" he said dramatically and began climbing up.
Now Hannen had to send Ramsha upstairs somehow. She made her way back to the party. Everybody was busy in eating and talking. And Ramsha was sitting alone. She made her towards her and whispered in her ears.
"Apne kamre mai jao chup chap. Koi intezaar kr rha tumhara"
She looked at her with questions but before she could ask their mother joined them.
"Kuch khalo tum dono bhi" she said
"Ha aap upar humare kamre mai bhijwa de. Ramsha appi ko washroom jana hai" Hannen made up an excuse as she pulled Ramsha with her.
"Chlo thik hai waise bhi late hogya hai." Sara bibi agreed.
They both slid inside the house and made there way upstairs. Just as they reached Ramsha's room. "Jldi jao...or zyada der baate na krna. Or jb mai khasu toh smjhna koi aa rha hai" Hannen explained and pushed her in the room.
There Jalal waited for her, sitting on her bed.
"Jalal aap yaha" she asked in surprise.
"Tumhe dekhne ka dil chaha rha tha" he said as he stood up.
"Koi dekh lega toh bhot masla ho jayeyga"
A loud coughing sound came from outside. Ramsha's eyes turned wide, as she said, "Koi aa rha hai upar"
Jalal left a quick forehead kiss before moving towards the balcony.
"Waha se kaha ja rhe hai" Ramsha whispered as she followed him.
And gasped when he fell down the railing. When she looked down, she was him holding the pipe and getting down. A wave of relief washed over her. As she watched him go.
"Wo change kr rhi hai ammi..." Hannen continued as Sana bibi barged into the room.
With a suspicious look on her face Sara bibi looked around, putting the food on the table and left the room.
They both breath as they slumped on the bed.
"Mujhe toh lga aaj mai gyi" Hannen said.
"Same" Ramsha answered.

The soft clink of plates filled the room as Haider family silently began their dinner.
Abdar was still in his work clothes, he came directly from office after his grandmother insisted him to join them for dinner.
On his right sat Jalal, and on his left, on the head of the table sat Zehra bano. But she wasn't really eating, her eyes went up to Safiyan, who looked equally uninterested in dinner. They wanted to talk to Abdar about his marriage, but they were too nervous to brought it up. Whereas Yasmeen unaware of the little plotting of her mother and bhabhi, enjoyed her kebabs as she served herself another one.
"Abdar beta" Safiyan began, "Tumhe nhi lgta ki tumhe ab shaadi ke baare mai soch na chahiye?" she asked. At which Yasmeen's year perked up.
Abdar looked up and said, "Ammi phele Jalal ka nikkah ho jaye. Fir hum iss baare mai baat krenge". He clearly tried to divert the topic.
"Humare nazar mai ek ladki hai aapke liye. Aur hum uski family se jald he baat krne wale hai" Zehra bano said.
All eyes went to her. Even Jalal was interested now. And Yasmeen, she was practically bursting with happiness.
"Aur ye ladki hai kon? " Jalal asked
"Hum sab jante hai usse badi achi trah" the next word of Zehra bano, truly confirmed what Yasmeen was thinking.
Her mother has finally chosen her Fiza for Abdar, the relationship she wanted since Fiza was born, but her mother and sister in law were too admant to not let Fiza become their bahu. But that day has finally come, when her daughter will rule over Haider's.
She couldn't wait and give this good news to her daughter.
"Mai fir se keh rha hu, hum isse baad mai discuss krenge, abhi nhi. Mai pheli hi bhot masruf rehta hu, mere pass in fazul ki chizo ke liye time nhi" Abdar said, his voice cold and distant. He gathered his plate and walked out of the dining room.
"Hum kal he Umer sahab se baat krenge" Zehra bano told Safiyan softly who agreed with her. But small part of her was hesitant, she didn't want Haneen to be in a loveless marriage where there will be not respect or love. But she also wanted her son to be happy, and an another part of her believed that only Haneen can truly change Abdar.
And Abdar was clueless what life has been secrelty planning for him. He bid his goodbye to his family and got into his car.
He stopped infront of his house. The house he made by himself, he didn't know why he didn't live with his family like Jalal, but what he knew is that he was proud of himself. It wasn't something big. But he liked that he had a place to call his. he discarded his shoes and ties as he made his way towards his bedroom.
The walls were grey and white, going perfect with the king sized black bed in the middle.
He took off his watch and placed it on the night stand and untucked his shirt. He looked around the room. He knew this house looked lifeless, like nobody ever lives here. But there was some truth in it, he spend half of his time working on cases that he get harldy any time to come here and sleep, except for weekends.
He sighed as he changed out his clothes. His thoughts again drifted towards the dinner. A little part of him was curious about the girl they were talking about. But he quickly pushed the thought away.
He had lot of things to worry about and marriage wasn't even on the list.
Atleast that's what he thought.
